total bummer
couldn’t afford the DSV Alvin resin model kit i’d been stalking on ebay for the brawny man’s christmas present….i jacked it up to $75 (which was my ABSOLUTE limit since it’s so rare) and it still wasn’t enough for a high bid.
maybe another will show up. i’ve got one and i’d really like him to have one….since, y’know, he used to pilot the damn thing lol.
backup plan is this awesome model of the Shinkai 6500 (which he’s also dived in)….though i’ll have to translate all the instructions in advance. bonus though, it has an LED kit, diver/scientist figures, and some really cool cutaways to show the sub’s innards.
well, while tinychat was blowing up over the emmys….i managed to secure this gorgeous 1950s vintage mink stole for $35!
and all the silk swatches came for the dress, so i can pick what color 50s cocktail dress i want to wear with this (leaning towards a teal blue or violet). really getting excited for this mini project!
and now to drown my sorrows in some wine and food.

just saw this on ebay while searching for some effie trinket wig possibilities….compared here to my telephone coke can gaga wig it looks saaaaaad. wtf did they even look at the actual wig in the video? lolololol
